Biography:

Predicated on a command of songwriting and composition, Upperville’s unique piano-driven sounds deliver enduring melodies and solid grooves with a complete performance package.

Formed in 2006 by Chris Merritt and Roland Osborne, formerly of Paperface, both sought to rekindle the creative venture they began 6 years prior.  With the focus on recording and composition in their early years, the addition of Chris Walvoord and Brian Mayfield has positioned Upperville as a prolific live band.

Upperville has inherited a long pedigree of mature songwriting and soundcraft.  Heavily influenced by such artists as Ben Folds, Weezer, Coldplay, Radiohead, and Billy Joel, the band is adept at bringing diverse sounds to their performances and taking the risks that ultimately allow them to chart new sonic territory.  As Upperville, the band has been able to successfully translate the emotion and power of its songs in a live forum.
